This was our itinerary for our 2017 Greek Island holiday.

As with our 2014 holiday, we flew from Sydney to Athens, then caught an Olympic Air flight from Athens to Milos the same afternoon. We arrived on Milos just in time for sunset and dinner. Again, this eliminated the need to overnight in Athens and catch a ferry the next morning... we wanted as much time on the islands as possible!

We also learnt another trick when scheduling ferry trips between islands, the four islands we visited in 2017 were all on the same SeaJets ferry route. This meant we were only on a ferry for a maximum of a couple of hours between islands, with some trips only about half an hour. This was a big difference from our 2014 holiday, where we spent hours, almost a day, travelling between some islands and therefore loosing valuable time on the islands.

I booked our accommodation direct with the hotels and villas. Once our accommodation was booked, I booked our ferry transfers via the SeaJets website. You will receive an email confirmation and once you are on your first island, find the travel office near the port and they will print all your ferry tickets for you. Always check the ferry timetables before committing to your accommodation. Out of high season, not all ferry routes operate on a daily basis.
